hiatus

i guess it's been a month and a half now since i did one these blog posts, i've had both some wanted and unwanted distractions.  school has been busy, had some open classes that went pretty well and the current semester is quickly coming to an end, so i've been working on summer camp stuff.

i started going to the gym at the kia factory near my house, i'm taking squash lessons.  the first day was rough, but it's been fun and a definite work out.  i've been riding my bike to and fro, adding that to going early and getting time on the court before class, turns into a nice workout.  some of us foreign teachers have been working on organizing a soccer team.  i think today we might have been accepted into the league, which is really good.  the league runs from the end of august to the beginning of december.  we have a 'friendly game' coming up the 17th against the osan air force base team.  it should be interesting since we have yet to even have a practice, but we're all pretty much in it just to have a good time and not really be competitive.

i'm a little more than halfway through richard dawkins' the god delusion, it's good, maybe i'll tell you about it some time.  a few weeks ago i took a couple days break from it because i picked up cormac mccarthy's the road and couldn't put it down.  that doesn't usually happen with me, so it felt really nice to be so in to a book.

i have a good amount of photos to post at some point, it's just so time consuming.  i'll get around to it eventually.  in the mean time, i've got to run.  i'm heading to seoul to see caribou.  then early in the morning meeting up with some people to go rafting in gangwon-do.

yeah, one more thing, juliet, my sister, is coming over the end of this month for a couple weeks.  it's my gift to her for graduating high school.  haven't fully committed to our plans yet, but it looks like maybe jeju island and singapore.  it'll be a good time regardless of where we end up.
