killadelphia

i was stranded in the atlanta airport for 19 hours because of that snowstorm.  what's the deal with not having free wi-fi, other airports have it, why can't atl?  anyways, after not sleeping, another a.m. cancellation and countless delays, i made it to philly.

too much snow and ice.

time to hit the bar.

time to hit the sack.

without fail, duck people?

if you were wondering, this is my bed.

uncle bill,
i know. this is how it went: i asked when checking in if any of my flights were canceled or delayed and very specific in asking about my flight to philly. i had two airtran clerks confirm that my flight was going to philly. once i got to atl, there was no discussion or announcements about philly being shutdown, so i still assumed it was ok. after i waited around for my three hour layover, it was boarding time, but nothing was flying. they told me that i would be on the 7am flight the next morning (this is at 9:30-10pm), they told me that i could get a discounted (not comp) room. i inquired about my luggage, which they said would take 2-3 hours to get. just ridiculous. at this point i felt that it was too late to have you come pick me up, then turn around and take me back at 5am, so i decided to just stay in the airport.

The easy part would have been driving out to the airport and bringing you to the comfort of my home, then getting you back for a pre-dawn flight. The hard part would have been connecting up with me after 10 p.m., an old guy's bedtime. As I take off my bionic hearing when I go to sleep, ringing telephones really do fall on deaf ears. However, I usually check my e-mail last thing every night.
