arriving wednesday around midday, we had no plans as to where we would stay. we knew that the most popular beach, haeundae, would be super crowded, so we went to gwangalli. gwangalli is the next beach south of haeundae and was fairly low key the majority of the time there. we got a room in the first little motel we saw about a half block from the beach. it cost about 40 bucks a night.
this is the gwangalli grand bridge. it is the largest suspension bridge in south korea.
wasted no time in relaxing with a beer.
i'm pretty sure this place was for poker.
taking a little walk on a couple back steets, we see signs for the 'feel motel' going down this alley. next to the furthest sign back on the green wall is a hand written sign that says 'motel. don't piss here'.
버섯마을=mushroom village
day one ended fairly early, as we were quite tired from the early rise to catch the train.
